The Challenge

SLL, a diversified logistics enterprise with multiple business units, had invested in several digital systems over the years. However, leadership lacked a consolidated view of the organization's data maturity, technology utilization, and readiness for AI-driven potential.

As each business function operated independently, there was limited visibility into how existing platforms were being used, whether technology investments were delivering value, or where operational inefficiencies were creating unnecessary costs. Without a unified data strategy, the organization had no clear framework for prioritizing future investments or identifying the highest-impact opportunities for improvement.

This created several strategic challenges for the enterprise:

  • Limited information on technology utilization and investment ROI.

  • Inability to identify hidden operational inefficiencies and avoidable costs across business units.

  • Fragmented data and inconsistent reporting prevented leadership from establishing a trusted enterprise-wide view of operations.

  • Uncertainty around where AI and advanced analytics could deliver measurable business value.

To support the organization's long-term growth, SLL required an assessment of its current data landscape and a strategic roadmap that would provide a clear, phased approach to data application and AI adoption.

Fluidata's Solution

Our team conducted an enterprise-wide discovery engagement, working closely with stakeholders across distinct business units to evaluate existing technology investments, operational procedures, and data availability. Through a series of targeted interviews, and analysis via our proprietary assessment tools, we established a clear understanding of the organization's current state, identifying underutilized assets, fragmented data presence, and opportunities to improve enterprise-wide visibility.

We focused on helping the organization maximize the value of its existing investments while defining a practical roadmap for future trajectory.

Based on these findings, we developed a phased Data & AI roadmap that prioritized initiatives across the short, medium, and long term.

The roadmap included:

  • Assessing the utilization and business value of existing digital platforms, including ERP, WMS, and reporting systems.

  • Defining an enterprise data strategy centered around a trusted, unified source of truth.

  • Suggestions for a data governance framework to improve data quality, consistency, and trust upon business intelligence.

  • Prioritizing high-impact AI, analytics, and automation initiatives based on business value, implementation effort, and strategic alignment.

  • Recommending opportunities to improve reporting, operational visibility, warehouse optimization, transportation intelligence, and workforce productivity through data-driven decision-making.

  • Providing a phased execution plan to guide technology investments while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

The resulting roadmap equipped Seabird & Parekh Group's leadership with a strategic blueprint to optimize existing assets, eliminate uncertainty around future technology investments, and accelerate the organization's journey toward enterprise-wide data and AI maturity.

Seabird Logistics (SLL) had invested in multiple digital systems but lacked a clear view of how effectively they were being used and where the business was losing value. Through its own proprietary assessment, Fluidata assessed its technology, data, and business functions to identify gaps, underutilized assets, and high-impact opportunities. The engagement resulted in a phased Data & AI roadmap to guide future investments and priorities.
